Salaries in the catering establishments have remained fixed since 1997 that is 20 years. Something needs to be done and value the services that this industry brings to our economy and appreciate the people who work in this industry.
Jobs in this industry are being taken over by foreigners as they are willing to work for a pittance and our workforce who are trained and professional are being put aside as companies are not willing to pay jist wages thus wmploy foreigners part time or off the books .
