The latest planning application for Whiteleys increases the number of new homes proposed from 129 to 153, and now includes 14 intermediate affordable homes. At the same time the hotel is made bigger, from 42 to 111 rooms, with an improved spa and swimming pool. I have reservations as to the impact on local residents of the over-doubling in size of the hotel component of the development.
