Community venue with activities for young people 16-21years
There are very few places young people can meet without alcohol being a feature- clubs bars etc. In order to move away from this and reduce alcohol intake , we should consider a community venue like st Francis with darts, a pool table, gaming, cards and snacks to promote healthy social interaction and building relationships which reduces use of mobile phones and alcohol and reduces boredom .
There are 2 existing youth facilities in the area, The Way to Go Youth Cafe in Waddell Crt and the Barn in Laurieston. Both these providers are fully equipped to accommodate such a service that you propose, should the demand be there, and we would be happy to meet to discuss this further.
