Support for when you lose a loved one in the local community. Having support locally is great for when you don’t really feel like going out travelling when you’re grieving. Having someone to talk with about your grief and how to manage the bereavement is important. It’s important to promote mental health strategies and sign post helpful organisations to those needing help.
Support to people with cancer & their families. In our community, it is known that land has been treated for hexavalent chromium and the local burn is contaminated with paint factory waste. This is having unknown health implications for Gorbals residents. It is integral we support our community with possible environmental cause of cancer cases in the Gorbals area. It would be good to have a group to meet with and discuss the ups and downs of having cancer in the family and losing a loved one.
